The Innovation Call 2017 was a nationwide ideas competition which addressed students/graduates, start-ups and companies from the creative industries architecture, design and software/games throughout Germany. What was wanted: the most innovative ideas, concepts or products for the health economy of the future.

From the whole of Germany, 41 start-ups, companies and students participated until January 2017 in the competition. The ten best ideas have been chosen by an expert jury and invited to take part in the Innovation Lab 2017.

The award ceremony for the three best ideas took place on the Innovation Day 2017.

Three strong teams

The first place, endowed with 5,000 €, has been won by Physec Gmbh from Bochum. The Ruhr University spin-off wants to enable manufacturers to digitize every medical product with their product IoTree while at the same time ensuring data security.

Second (3,500 €) ranked the project Padisono, a mobile sonography device in the format of an Ipad.

The third place (1,500 €) went to the office geisendesign from Mülheim with its project Lifesaver. The idea behind this: an interactive bench which is supposed to free people from inhibitions with a heart massage.

The prize money of a total of 10,000 € has been donated by Initiativkreis Ruhr, phenox GmbH from Bochum and the Business Metropole Ruhr GmbH (BMR).
